  • Other: The HT Health Connection HIV/AIDS Peer Educator Student Organization will host NWGHAAD. Culturally appropriate and gender-specific prevention education and testing for our campus and community. The event will include female activists, skit performances, music entertainment, local partners and testing services. A contest to be held on NWGHAAD where a prize for best creative expression pertaining to females with HIV/AIDS will be awarded.
  • Additional Comments: National Black AIDS Awareness Day will be recognized on 2-4-2010. Our students will hold creative expressions tryouts on campus from 6-8. Tryouts will be judged on performances pertaining to females with HIV/AIDS. Persons selected will enter the cash prize event March 10th for NWGHAAD. Log on to www.womenshealth.gov/NWGHAAD

Our back-drop will be the Winans song. Working on local high school band to play the song as we walk through the neighborhoods. We will be marching through the Black community. This is my first Black HIV Awarness Day and I am so excited.
