  • Other: The Lane Chapel CME Church will observe this National Day on Sunday February 7, 2010. The service will begin at 11:00 am. We cordially invite the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area communities to come and share in this day with us. There will be special guests and various activities surrounding this event.
  • Anonymous Rapid HIV testing will also be available at this time.
  • Knowledge is power! This illness does not affect just one community; it has an impact on all. Can we count on your presence to help spread the word and educate others about this disease that affects so many?

  • Other: Persons livng with HIV/AIDS and certified representatives from the Health Department will be on hand to speak about HIV/AIDS teating, knowing your status, myths, facts and the crisis at hand.  We will have an informational and red ribbon campaign on the 7th and free/anonymous testing on February 28 from 3:00pm – 6:00pm.

  • Additional Comments  We will be doing several different testing events:

 

  • Friday, February 12th from 10-3 at Changes Unlimited Sal in Louisville KY. Supplies will be handed out, food will be offered. Approx 30 individuals to be tested.

 

  • February 12th from 1-5pm at Fabulous Cuts Hair Salon in Louisville KY. Testing, Prevention supplies, and light snacks will be offered. Approx 20 people will be tested.

 

  • February 7th at booth in the West End, approximately 30 people will be tested. Prevention Supplies and Door Prizes will be offered.

 

  • February 7th at Starbase Q night club from 9am until 2am. Food, prevention supplies, gift cards will be offered. About 20 will be tested.

 

  • February 5th from 9am to 5pm at Volunteers of America. Door prizes, food, games, and gift cards will be offered to those who bring a friend. Approx 30 people will be tested.
  • February 5th from 12pm until 4pm at the University of Kentucky in Lexington Kentucky. Safer sex supplies to be offered along with $50 gift card door prizes. 75 to 100 people to be tested.

 

  • February 7th from 12pm until 5pm at the University of Kentucky in Lexington Kentucky. Door prizes, food, and safer sex supplies will be offered. 100 people to be tested.
