Become a Sponsor and/or Supporter of Black AIDS Day 2013

On behalf of Healthy Black Communities, Inc. the lead organization for National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day - February 7, 2013, we invite you to become a Sponsor or take part in making a donation towards NBHAADFebruary 7, 2013. Since our inception in 2001, we have worked tirelessly to coordinate the many activities and events that occur each and every year on February 7 simultaneously all over the country. To date, there have been over 20,000 events and activities that have happened in more than 5,000 locales (i.e. community based organizations, health departments, churches, civic groups, fraternities and sororities, etc.) within the last twelve years.

Healthy Black Communities, Inc. (HBC) works directly with more than 500 local and national organizations annually to develop, brainstorm and identify strategies that best mobilize more than 1,000,000 Blacks in their locales around NBHAAD via community groups and stakeholders hosting events and/or activities on or around February 7, 2013, mass email blasts, regular Facebook and Tweeting.

NBHAAD has built a continued amount of steam amongst the public and private sectors by highlighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic nationally and locally within Black communities.  It has been featured on CNN, BET, over 250 Black newspaper publications, Ebony Magazine, Essence, A&U Magazine, etc. In 2006, we included an additional component to our efforts – “Get Treated!” This is to get those currently living with HIV/AIDS and those newly testing HIV+ to know their CD4 count and viral load so they too can make healthy decisions about next steps.

Your support/sponsorship will allow us to develop and expand the materials and supplies we currently offer as well as identify innovative and creative ways to further mobilize Blacks around HIV/AIDS. We would like to provide theme specific posters for all segments of Black populations impacted by this disease (i.e. youth & young adults, men who have sex with men, women, faith leaders, business community, and general population).

We are confident this initiative works every year to stem the tide of the AIDS crisis in Black America, and your sponsorship helps us make this a reality.  Healthy Black Communities, Inc. serves as the lead organization responsible for mobilizing resources to assist in offsetting the costs of those unforeseen or unexpected things that come up during the year.
