In an effort to expand the reach of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2008, we are reaching out to national organizations and key figures in Black communities to partner with and serve as affiliates via promoting NBHAAD 2008, hosting a banner on their website and signing a Partnership Agreement with our organization.
These affiliates are where many community based organizations and HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services are available. NBHAAD has the capacity to bring communities back to life - where people and their communities grow, change, and strengthen.
With programs and resources for all levels of the Beloved community, the affiliates provide communitiy members with guidance so they may know where to go to get tested for HIV and acqurie additional support information.
We ask all of our affiliates and assist where we can to cultivate a symbiotic relationship with local community based organizations and health departments, encouraging them to volunteer at National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day programs and events to advocate for positive change in their communities.
For information about the National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Partner & Affiliate Program, contact the NBHAAD headquarters (888) 259-9534 or email us at affiliates@blackaidsday.org.
