NBHAAD 2012 Video Contest

Do you have video production skills or are you an actor/actress who has an idea or concept around HIV/AIDS education, prevention, testing, leadership development, and treatment? If so, here's a chance to raise the awareness of HIV/AIDS in Black communities and possibly put a little money in your pocket.

Healthy Black Communities, Inc., as the lead organization for National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is announcing its National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2012 Video Contest. So, what are you waiting for - grab your new flip camera you got for Christmas or any other digital video camera and capture some ideas on how to educate Blacks around HIV/AIDS; get Blacks tested for HIV regularly; mobilize and highlight leadership in Black communities, both locally and nationally; as well as discuss treatment and care for those newly testing HIV+ and/or those living with HIV. No video idea or concept is out of the box, as long as it conveys education and highlights the importance of HIV/AIDS in Black communities is fair game.

Videos can only be submitted by uploading your video to the Black AIDS Day YouTube channel and emailing HBC the link to the video. All video projects should be between 30 seconds and 4 minutes. No inappropriate material will be considered. We are looking for innovative ideas on HIV/AIDS education, testing, leadership, and treatment. You can include the 2012 theme in your video as well as promote the Black AIDS Day website on the last screen of the video.

Deadline for links to be emailed to us is February 1, 2012 at 5:00PM EST. Send the link to your video, your name, address and phone number to nbhaad_video@hbc-inc.org with the subject "NBHAAD 2012 Video Contest." Be as creative as you want!
